A mixed bag of a summer

Summer is here, and it’s been a mixed bag of weather – rainy in London, steamy in Atlanta – and we have a mixed bags of news to report.

Sadly, our shared shop in London will be closing at the end of August. We’ll still be making and selling bags, but our showroom will be our home-based studio, at least until we can find a new suitable display space. We’ve loved being part of this creative collective for the past four years, and we will miss it so much. Thank you to Antonia Pugh-Thomas for making us part of this fabulous collective she set up, and thank you to all our local customers who have supported us there over the years.

Happily, we’re now showing our bags in Port St Joe, Florida, where Susan is living when she’s not in Atlanta. Our bags will be on display in the members’ art market at The Joe, a community art center showcasing and supporting artists along the Forgotten Coast. The members’ art market exhibit runs August 2-September 20, 2024, and will feature art from current members of the Joe.

For summer and travels, we’ve got some perfect bags for carrying on a flight or a train and exploring new places.

There’s our roomy large Boxy tote bags, our signature backpacks and our new beach bag, which we’re calling the beast because it has everything – handles and adjustable cross-body strap, magnetic strap closure, key lanyard – and fits everything for a day out at the beach. And of course, all our bags are machine washable.

We’ve also done a limited edition of our signature phone bags, ditties, and tote bags using fabulous fabric by textile designer Margo Shelby, a British artist and designer working with colour and geometric form in woven textiles. You can learn more about her work here.

We hope to see you at events this autumn in Atlanta and London – we’ll keep you posted on dates and places. Contact us if you need a new bag or a special gift!

Thank you for all your support!
